One of Bauer's entries for the 1900 World's Fair in Paris. Each artist was allowed to submit 10 works, no older than 10 years. Apart from some of his India etchings, Bauer chose the Cathedral. The entry was crowned with the most important award of the artist's career: Marius Bauer receiving the Grand Prix for graphics.
